Thank you to everyone who came out to Beth Israel’s first Law and Learn event.
The event was a great success, with strong attendance and vibrant discussion.
Thank you especially to Professor Cristie Ford, who discussed alternative schemes of penalties and sanctions, outside the justice system. We discussed monitors in securities law, as well as the closed system of the Diamond Dealers’ Club in New York.
The CPD credit for this program is through the Jewish Lawyers Group, and you can register your credit at the Law Society website, as you would for any other Jewish Lawyers Group event.
The next Beth Israel Lunch and Learn is on November 22, 2012. Felicia Folk and Rabbi Infeld will discuss inheritance law in the Canadian and Judaic legal systems.
